Are my affections languid?
Your heart, is it bleeding or sanguine?
Of psyche a thin simulacrum?
Consider id, ego, libido
As all of the above —
A caricature of love
That only a fool would trust;
From Latin excrescences tangled
Extract the Saxon-Angled:
We like and love and lust.
And yet, terra firma’s albedo
Reflects all the things that we need, O
Bring on the fat and the lean o-
-ver easy ab ovo add vino.
Albedo – (Pronounced al-BEE-do) The proportion of sunlight falling on a planet’s surface that is reflected.
Ab ovo – Latin “from the egg” or figuratively “from the beginning”; from Roman poet Horace ab ovo usque ad mala “from the egg to the apples” meaning “from the beginning to the end” or “thoroughly,” based on the Roman custom of having the main meal begin with an egg dish and end with fruit.
Over easy – A way of cooking eggs: fried on one side, flipped so that the yolk does not break, and then lightly fried again.
